I want this couch.

I don't need this couch I just want it.  Two weeks ago I went to the Design within Reach store and visited "my" 73" Bantam Sofa for an hour. Here's the company description:

"A soft, less machined brand of modernism first arose in the United States in the 1930s and it was aimed at simplifying life by comfortably modernizing it. Our Bantam Collection, which builds in comfort across the entire surface of each piece, takes its inspiration from this period while taking advantage of more recent technical advances. Influenced by the furnishings of Edward J. Wormley, the Bantam Sofa delivers supreme physical comfort as well as aesthetic pleasure. Made in U.S.A."

Why am I dreaming, yes dreaming about a sofa?  Is it the seductive description that appeals to me?  Is it because I have a mild obsession with all things mid-century? Do I want to be Laura Petry?  I do want supreme physical comfort and aesthetic pleasure for sure.  I'll let you know what I decide to do.--Rebecca

I LOVE that you visit your sofa! It's stunning; nothing like those mid-century lines. I hope one day I get to meet your 73 Bantum in your living room.
