Falling in Love with West Seattle

Please don't be upset Wedgwood, but I have been spending a lot of time in W. Seattle (Well Done Events has several clients there) and, well, I have a crush. Here are a few snaps from today's "date." ~ Rebecca

Museum Night at Eckstein Middle School

Eastern Hemisphere museum night at Eckstein is always at treat. This year's artifacts, all designed and built by the 6th graders, were particularly intriguing. I got stuck in the Asian section and couldn't take my eyes off the tsunami and the traditional Korean garb made of paper. ~Rebecca

A Decadence of Morals.

"He had that curious love of green, which in individuals is always the sign of a subtle artistic temperament, and in nations is said to denote a laxity, if not a decadence of morals." -- Oscar Wilde

Possibly, Oscar Wilde was talking about an all American style drunken happy hour full of creative sorts?

****Well Done Assignment #2.
Get your friends together this Fri after work, have a few cocktails, ( alcohol not necessary to reap these rewards) and talk about silly stuff, like old family myths, dreams, and tell each other some dirty jokes... and don't forget to laugh a lot.

So what if you're broke, depressed, stressed, or have other plans. Ignore all those excuses and still show up for some happy hour fun at the end of the long week. . Just like exercising, once you get there...

Lady Banks Yellow

ALSO KNOWN AS: 'Lady Banks Yellow' , R. banksiae lutea , R. banksiae luteaplena , 'Yellow Banksia' , 'Yellow Lady Banks' Rose'. I love this climber and am thrilled by its bloom every year.
The Yellow Lady Banks is an extremely vigorous, once-blooming yellow climber that will happily cover any nearby tree or structure. Its distinctive clusters of yellow flowers in the spring make it easy to identify. It is a thornless rose (great!) with little fragrance (not so great). ~ Rebecca

May Day

It wasn't a basket and it wasn't for me, but I dug it anyway. Thank you Emma, Noah, and assorted neighborhood kids. Happy May Day.
