This Chair is Just Right

Today my big sistah, K.C., and I went to the  Mimisan Natural Nail Spa, in Queen Anne, for a pedicure. K.C. warned me that the spa didn't have the vibrating massage chairs (you know the ones with all those crazy buttons--personally I like the rolling massage option) and I have to admit that I was quietly bummed out. But when I got there, voilá! Check-out these beautiful, white Eames lounge chairs, plus the comfy pillow. And when the spa-lady brought me my heated neck-pillow I knew that everything was going to be just fine. ~ Rebecca

Pacific Galleries and Auction House

After fifteen years of living in Seattle, I finally went on a field trip to Pacific Galleries. Where to begin because everything I could possibly want is being sold there: beautiful rugs, great furniture, pieces for staging events and stores, vintage hats and jewelry, lighting, really everything. I had a lot of fun taking pictures and will share some of the better ones with you, dear readers, all this week. Enjoy. --Rebecca

Armoire Amore. Seattle, WA

Ok, so Malina does things simply, like the shell in the white bowl. Her entire interior is based on white, mirrors and natural objects. If you pick three elements and never stray too far from them, you will always have a successful design. Even if you decide to pick green as your color, use as many versions of green as you can find. Don't worry yourself with whether they match. Malina is committed to white, but notice that her couch
is a subtle heather gray wool. She strays ever so slightly away to add some depth/layers to her palette. In decor, as in nature, a color never exists by itself.
For example in a seashell the white looks so pure
because the pink is there. In a flower the pink petals look so bright because of the green stem....etc.

Nesting Tables. Ravenna Neighborhood

Kathleen's new tables are the bomb. Here's why:
1. The yummy orange/mango color.
2. Three tables that nest.
3. She got them on sale at...a store I can never remember
the name of.
4. The modern design is sleek and sexy.
5. And, did I mention the color?
Crazy Well Done nesting tables.

Joann's Couch. Maple Leaf

Joann's house is fantastic. It is filled with great art, mid-century
furniture, and so much more. This lady has got "it". Her
son inherited her skill. He completely redesigned this couch,
which Joann describes as a former old lady sofa, and
reupholstered it. Really Well Done.

Sweet Shoreline, WA home.

This little home in Shoreline has been polished like a fancy gem.
Most, if not all of the furniture is from Craigslist, Seattle. The backs of the open cupboards have fancy wrapping paper from City Peoples adhered with spray mount.
The bedroom at the end of the hall was completely redone with honey colored venetian plaster and a creamy white wool carpet. Shoreline, WELL DONE!
